Watercolorist Steven Forrest was born in 1946 in East Orange, New Jersey and grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and Redding, California. He studied watercolor painting at Shasta College and majored in art at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned bachelors and masters degrees in art at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont, where he studied with abstract painter James Gahagan. Forrest, his wife, Erica and their son, Michael, now live in Adams, Massachusetts, in the Berkshires. |
