It's All About the Light with Robert Carsten

A workshop designed to give your creativity a boost. Using the subject matter of your choice, learn new ways to interpret subjects using organized light effects and corresponding color choices, and get the 'edge' on edges! Considerable attention will be given to further developing understanding and sensitivity to light's effects upon color, mass, and edges of forms within your paintings for strong, visual impact. Demonstrations, critiques and lots of painting time. All levels welcome. Minimum 6/Maximum 18 students.  Download a materials list HERE.

Award-winning artist Robert Carsten works in pastel, drawing media, acrylic, and oil. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design and the Academia di Belle Arti and is a board member and signature member of the Pastel Society of America, and contributing writer to the Pastel Journal and The Artist's Magazine. His paintings and drawings have been shown in the Butler Institute of American Art and many other museums and galleries and are collected worldwide.
