An Evening of "The Blues," with Guy Davis Professor Loui and Bob Stannard

Guy Davis has been called America’s greatest link to the blues. While touring the globe somewhere between Ecuador and the Artic Circle where he performed in Greenland for the visiting Queen of Denmark, Guy Davis was tagged with the moniker, “The Ambassador of the Blues”….an appropriate fitting title for an American blues musician that has taken his love of the art-form to the four corners of the globe.

Whether he’s appearing on broadcast specials on the BBC and PBS, appearing on late night television with Conan or Jimmy Fallon, performing in the Basque region or at a school for impoverished children in South Carolina, or headlining the main stage of a Folk, Jazz, or Blues Festival somewhere on the globe, Guy always gives it his all.

Guy, the son of Ruby Dee and Ozzie Davis, has produced 17 albums during his carrier, he has received numerous awards, including Best Acoustic Album, and best Acoustic Artist of the year, 1993. Recently he received a Grammy nomination for "Best Traditional Blues Album of the year."

Professor Loui
Rick Danko of the BAND gave Professor Loui his name for collaborating with the Rock “n” Roll Hall of Fame group. Louis has worked with the BAND for 16 years. The Professor has produced or played with the likes of Graham Parker, Guy Davis, Purple Sage and Buckwheat Zydeco.

Bob Stannard
Our own Blues extraordinaire is an eighth generational Vermonter, who’s been playing and singing the blues since 1969 when he quit playing the drums and took up the harmonica. A self-taught blues harmonica player and singer now endorsed by SEYDEL Harmonicas of Germany, Mr. Stannard has enjoyed playing for a variety of audiences around the world including the Motreux Jazz festival in Switzerland where he joined nonother than BB King on the stage.

Friday Night Live hosts talented performers and serves fabulous dinner and drinks from specialty food trucks. Come at 6pm for dinner outside followed by performances starting at 7pm!
