Vermont's best musicians take the stage!
Dave Keller from Montpellier is one of the finest soul and blues men of his generation.
In 1993, Keller moved to icy Vermont, launching The Dave Keller Band in 1996. Renowned for his live-wire shows -- where you'd find him fifty feet out in the audience, teasing whisper-soft licks from his strat, singing off-mike to the enrapt crowd, before digging into the strings and tearing the roof off the proverbial sucker – Keller earned a devoted fanbase extending far beyond Vermont. He 'paid his dues' – and his bills – with thousands of gigs, from coffeehouses and bars to the largest festivals in the northeast.
In 2009, Keller was discovered by legendary guitarist Ronnie Earl, and featured as singer and co-writer on Earl's award-winning CD, Living In The Light. Keller won the 2012 International Blues Challenge (IBC) Best Self-Produced CD Award (Where I'm Coming From), and earned a 2014 Blues Music Award (BMA) nomination for Best Soul/Blues Album (Soul Changes), which he recorded with Al Green's original Hi Rhythm Section in Memphis.
With each album, Keller has grown more adept at turning his personal experiences into universal ones. His new CD, Right Back Atcha (Sept. 2016), continues that course, showcasing his powerful voice, his dynamic guitar playing, and his meaningful, memorable songs.
THE AEROLITES! Rock, Folk and Funk!
The Aerolites from Burlington began as the mutual brainchild of lead guitarist Jeremy Harple and pianist Victor Veve in the spring of 2010 in the woods of Vermont. With sixty-two original songs in hand Harple and Veve flew out to Hollywood in January of 2011, where they collaborated with Oteil Burbridge (Bass Allman Bros, Derek Trucks Band), as well as world-famous drummer Kenny Aronoff. This fine group of musicians completed the Aerolites' self-titled first album and Harple and Veve flew back to Vermont to piece the rest of the band together.
With three new sought after Vermont musicians added to the band, The Aerolites now tour coast -to-coast but stay true to their hometown roots of Vermont and the northeast, playing festivals, clubs, private, and commercial venues.
Recently, The Aerolites have recorded their second full-length album, "34 Mansfield" to be released October 12, 2013. The group's sophomore effort goes back to the band's roots and was recorded in a historic Vermont farmhouse. Each member of the new band played a key role in the development and implementation of the album as a whole, showing that now, the band had it's own sound.
DAN AND DORIE TRIO
If you have ever been to "The Barn" restaurant you are probably familiar with this band. Dorie Reid has won the Vermont State Fiddle Championship not once, but twice! When you hear her rendition of "Orange Blossom Special", you will understand why. Dorie can give Charlie Daniels a run for his money! This is foot stompin' country music at its best!
