Bettina Peabody
GALLERY VIII

“I travel frequently and for that reason my paintings are mostly done “en plein air” because to me that is the best way to capture the action and feeling of a particular moment in time. Creating a mood with color is my primary objective. I am also fascinated by motion, be it an athlete competing or an animal moving. My sketch books are full of drawing of skaters, skiers, horses and anything that moves.”

Bettina Peabody attended the Philadelphia College of Art, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the Peter Abate Sculpture Studio, the Boston University School for the Arts and the Pulido School of Classical Painting. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the world and exhibitions of her work include shows at the Paul Schuster Gallery in Cambridge, MA, The Manley Butler Gallery, Marblehead, MA, Harvard University and Hancock Library, NH. She is a member of many organizations: the Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge, MA, the Concord Art Association, Copley Society of Art, Boston, and the New England Sculptors Association, among others.
