Kenneth Rush graduated (BFA cum laude) from Syracuse University
School of Fine Arts, where he was the recipient of the senior award
in painting. He also studied at the John Cass College of Art in
London, England, and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture
in Maine. His work has been represented since 2001 by the Katharina
Rich Perlow Gallery in New York City, where he had a one-person
exhibition in 2006. Kenneth’s paintings have been reviewed
in Artnews (April 2005), and his children’s books
(The Seltzer Man, Friday’s Journey and What About
Emma?) were reviewed in The New York Times Book Review,
Booklist, Publisher’s Weekly, Smithsonian Magazine, and
School Library Journal. He has been an artist member of
the Arts Center for the last decade; this is his third solo exhibition
since 2001. |
