GALLERY VI
Gregg Wapner’s life-long love of water and fishing began in his childhood, in and around Springfield, Massachusetts; that early love is reflected today in his renditions of New England scenes, particularly in his representations of Vermont’s bodies of water. He still fishes – in winter mostly, he notes – and he still loves to visit the area’s lakes, ponds and streams where, he says, he’s "inspired by the vista of earth and the harmony of sky and water." Wapner has exhibited numerous times in juried group and solo exhibitions here at the Southern Vermont Arts Center, at the Thorne-Sagendorph Gallery in Keene, New Hampshire, the Academic Artist Association in Springfield, Massachusetts, and has been in both group and solo member shows at the Windham Art Gallery in Brattleboro, Vermont.
