Virginia McNeice works in pastel on paper and oil on canvas. Her
primary focus is on color relationships, contrast, and the effects
created by natural light at various times of the day. Since moving
to Washington County, New York, many years ago, the landscape surrounding
her farm has provided a wellspring of potential subjects. Woods
and streams, ponds and cultivated fields, farm buildings, the flow
of water in a brook, reflections, and the shapes of rocks and trees…
all of these things, in all four seasons, combine to present an
endless source of inspiration. |
