Watercolor Society
GALLERIES VIII & IX
The Vermont Watercolor Society was formed by a small group of artists
in 1995. The first meeting was held in the basement of the First
Congregational Church in Manchester Village. The goal was to promote
awareness of the watercolor medium throughout the state and to connect
watercolorists living in Vermont with one another through potlucks,
meetings and shows. Today the Society boasts more than 130 members
statewide and is growing. Signature membership has been established
for those members who have been accepted into at least three juried
shows. The Vermont Watercolor Society now hosts four to five group
shows a year at various venues across the state; this is their fourth
such exhibition at the Arts Center. Further educational opportunities,
such as workshops and demonstrations, are offered throughout the
year and membership is open to all watercolor artists either in
the US or abroad. Visit vermontwatercolorsociety.com
