After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Robert Carsten studied in Florence and at the Academia di Belle Arti in Carrara, Italy. Today, Carsten is a workshop instructor, exhibitions juror and a regular contributing writer for national art magazines as well as a signature member and board member of the Pastel Society of America and a lifetime honorary member of the Southwest Florida Pastel Society. His art is exhibited in galleries, museums and private collections across the country.
