Stanley Bielen, born in Rzeszow, Poland studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Bielen’s still-life oil paintings have received the Ranger Fund Purchase Prize and the Julius Halgarten Award from the National Academy of Design, among others. Collections include the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C., and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia. Bielen has been represented by galleries and participated in exhibitions both regionally and nationally, including the National Academy of Design, the Pepper Gallery, Boston and the Spheris Gallery, NYC.
