Gallery II is dedicated to three accomplished artists who are also members of the renowned arts faculty at Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Kate Leavitt claims to have had no interest in the making of art until the age of 18 when, she says, “I began a journey that grows richer every day.” Leavitt received a BFA from the University of Southern Maine, an MA and an MFA from the State University of New York at Albany and became a Tamarind Master Printer (the most coveted imprimatur in the field) in 1981. She has been teaching printmaking, drawing and painting at Skidmore since 1987 and is now chair of the department.
