Walter J. Pasko has devoted his creative energy, for the past forty years, to the plein air painting of the saw mills, sugar houses, streams, and small villages dotting the Berkshire Hills of northwestern Massachusetts. His style, which is admittedly broad, grew from his desire to capture the fleeting play of light and shadow – elements essential to the design of his paintings – across the landscape. Although largely self-taught, Pasko studied and painted with the noted regional artist Maurice Kennedy. Memberships include The Rockport Art Association, The North Shore Art Association and The Academic Artists Association. |
