The Vermont Watercolor Society was formed by a small group of artists in 1995. The goal was to promote awareness of the watercolor medium throughout the state and to connect watercolorists living in Vermont with one another through potlucks, meetings and shows. The Society now hosts four or five group shows a year. Signature membership has been established for members who have been accepted into at least three juried shows. Further educational opportunities, such as workshops and demonstrations, are offered throughout the year and membership is open to all watercolor artists either in the US or abroad.
