Richard Weinstein, Professor of Fine Art and Director of Visual Arts at Green Mountain College, based the paintings in this exhibition on his continuing interest in the world around him. On an intellectual level, they represent his ongoing study of the linkage between the natural and human environment. On a personal level, they are a response to the beauty and meaning he finds in the world around him. Artistically, he says, “They allow me the opportunity to delve into the painting process which is, in the end, my primary concern and greatest joy.”
