Traveling Boutiques

Lynn Adams
June 20-June 22, 2008

In 2004, Lynn Adams left a business career of 25 years to begin serious professional training at the Sir John Cass Department of Art, one of the premier art and craft institutions in the UK, where she undertook a formal introduction to the traditional aspects of silversmithing and jewelry as well as design. Her current focus is very clearly on jewelry, mainly with enamel but, she says, she’d be a very different jeweler if she did not also have such strong training in silversmithing techniques. Adams is a state juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen – she maintains a studio in Lyme, New Hampshire – and her work is available in all the League Galleries.

Beadiction by Marion Gaydos
August 29-31, 2008

Using 14K gold, 14K gold-filled and/or sterling silver wire, Marian Gaydos "cages" freeform or cut and faceted pieces of gemstones, fossils, natural crystals, man-made crystals, handmade glass, blister pearls, wood, stones, and shells into pendants and centerpieces for bracelets. Her sense of design leads to the creation of jewelry where the chosen centerpiece, as opposed to the wirewrapping, is the piece’s true focal point of attention. The centerpiece may, in fact, be enhanced by wiring crystals, pearls, gemstones, or beads of precious metals across or into the framework of the centerpiece.

Theresa Girzone Jewelry
September 12-14, 2008

Theresa Girzone King has been designing and handcrafting beautiful jewelry for nearly two decades. A former graphic designer, King is noted for her intuitive sense of color combination and for her balanced use of organic and geometric forms. By blending her hammered, bold silver designs with carefully selected and uniquely patterned pearls and semiprecious stones, she’s able to create some of the most original and extraordinary pieces available. Her designs are elegant but understated, "fashion forward" but never trendy. Theresa Girzone King’s collections are actively sought after by clients in the northeast, across the country and in Europe.

Melissa Flanagan Designs
October 24-26, 2008

Melissa began her career almost 30 years ago, collecting beach stones on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont, and incorporating the unusual stones into ring designs, bracelets, and necklaces. These oddly shaped and sized rocks of shale and quartz provided the foundation for her techniques and style. Melissa has developed a passion for working with fossils, minerals, semi-precious gems, and freshwater pearls. Highlighting the special qualities of each stone or fossil helps to produce unique and special statements in each piece of jewelry. Each piece is personally handcrafted by the artist, from the setting of the stone to the final polish.
