Celebrate the Art of Your Wedding

The Southern Vermont Arts Center’s historic 1917 Georgian revival mansion, Yester House Gallery, is the jewel in the crown of the Arts Center’s campus. Built largely on land purchased from the estate of Charles F. Orvis, the 28- room National Register of Historic Places mansion was built, very literally, as “country cottage,” a place away from the hurly-burly of Manhattan where the ever-so-wealthy Mrs. Gertrude Devine Webster could entertain her friends in the style to which they’d all become accustomed. Liveried drivers would ferry guests from their private rail coaches up the hill to Mrs. Webster’s Yester House.

Today, the mansion is capable of lavishly hosting up to 150 sit-down guests in two art-filled galleries or, for a more wide ranging affair, an elegant tented event on the grounds for as many as 300.

Wedding ceremonies and grand receptions will be made that much more memorable when held in the incomparable Yester House Gallery.

For pricing, availability, to arrange a tour or for any other information, please call Jackie Bell Sargood at 802-362-1405, ext. 19, or drop by the Arts Center, just off West Road in Manchester, Vermont. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.
