Yester House Galleries

Yester house GalleriesYester House, once the 28 room Georgian Revival mansion and centerpiece of the former Gertrude Divine Webster estate, was purchased as the permanent home for the Southern Vermont Artists, the forerunner of today's Southern Vermont Arts Center, in 1951.

Placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1988, Yester House Gallery now houses the Southern Vermont Arts Center's administrative offices and its major annual and invitational exhibitions; the mansion's former entrance foyer, salons, bed chambers and sitting rooms now comprise ten beautiful galleries featuring for sale the art of more than 600 artists. The Galleries are open year-round, and admission is free.
