Come get inspiration from the work of artist Gail Winbury, whose collages hang this winter on the walls of the Elizabeth de C. Wilson museum. Teaching artist Corry Buckwalter leads a fun introduction to this wonderfully flexible art form, in the gallery and in the studio. Join Corry to learn various techniques for layering a variety of papers with glue and creating interesting compositions with personal meaning.
SVAC will provide basic supplies. In addition, you may want to bring:
- Colored papers (your favorite colors)
- Old magazines, postcards, photos, found books, painted papers
- Any paper–with or without text–that catches your eye or sparks an idea
