Explore the playful side of glass in this fun workshop designed for artists of all experience levels. Participants will learn how to “bend” glass rods to create a striking optical illusion that looks complex but is surprisingly approachable for beginners. Through guided, hands-on instruction, you’ll learn essential glassworking techniques including scoring and cutting glass, working with spaghetti-like glass stringers, and assembling your design into a square form. We will take a lunch break, 12:00–1:00 pm. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes.
After the workshop, Stacy will fire the piece two times in her glass kiln to fully fuse and shape the plate.
Finished pieces will be ready for pickup at SVAC approximately two weeks after the workshop. Please note that projects cannot be mailed.
