Seeing and Shaping Light – Virtual Photography Studio

Ages: 16+

This four-session class will help guide you through seeing light as your camera sees it. What are we looking for when we’re out shooting to create a dramatic shot? Learn how to manipulate light and values by considering bouncing and reflecting natural light, as well as artificial light sources.

Thom Williams is a photographic artist currently living in Troy, NY. He has worked in fashion, editorials, portraits, architecture, athletic events and street photography. Whether a gesture, expression, or angle of architecture, Thom is inspired by capturing images not otherwise seen–of ordinary moments that can have profound reflective meaning for the viewer.
