EXHIBIT AT SVAC Yester House

Solo Shows

The Southern Vermont Arts Center is accepting Solo Show submissions for the 2019 season (May – November). Each season, the Southern Vermont Arts Center welcomes a variety of artists to present solo exhibitions in the Yester House Galleries. The selected 2019 solo show applicants will also have their work displayed on SVAC’s new online gallery (coming in May 2019).

Applications are open to members and non-members of SVAC. Artists 18 yrs. or older working in the following disciplines of Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Printmaking, Fiber, Glass, Ceramic, Wood, Metal, Mixed Media, and Photography are welcomed to apply. All artworks should be available for sale. Applicants should submit only their original work. 

Applications for both rounds of solo shows are due February 28, 2019.

Member Show

Southern Vermont Arts Center’s 2019 Summer Member Show will last from July 20 – August 25, 2019. All SVAC Artist Members are welcomed to submit up to 3 pieces for this show, and at least 1 piece is guaranteed to be displayed. Drop off and pick up dates are indicated in Important Dates for Artists. The theme for this show is Good Vibrations.

Artist in Residence

The Southern Vermont Arts Center is now accepting applications for our 2019 Artist in Residence for our summer season. The residency will run from August 10-September 8, 2019. Applications are open to career artists 18 yrs or older working in the following disciplines of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, fiber arts, glass, ceramic, wood, metal, mixed media, and photography. Applicants should submit only their original work. All artwork must be for sale.

The Artist in Residence will have their own gallery to display their work for 1 month, as well as the opportunity to work in the galleries at SVAC and on our surrounding outdoor campus, which spans over 100 acres in picturesque Manchester, Vermont.

Requirements:

  • Artist will display work in SVAC selected gallery
  • Artist will work on SVAC campus at least 2 days/week during the residency (excludes the studio)
  • SVAC will provide a small opening reception
  • Artist will engage with SVAC guests while working on campus
  • Artist is scheduled to hold a talk at some point during their residency
  • Non-SVAC Artist Members may be subjected to a gallery fee
