Ages 6–10

Engage in seeing, wondering and making, inspired to find your creativity through drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking or developing characters in graphic stories. This workshop is an immersive experience with an emphasis on exploring a range of art and artists: Picasso, Goldsworthy, Cezanne, and Basquiat—to name a few!

Lynne DeBeer is a fine arts graduate of Skidmore College and has been teaching painting, drawing and creative exploration, as well as working with artists to market their work, for over 30 years. She is currently a middle school arts educator and offers workshops for emerging and established artists in communities throughout New England as well as operating Inside/Out Studios, an after-school experience for students in Providence, RI. Her workshops include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, textile design, film and animation. A focus of Lynn’s teaching practice is using nature in art. Her current paintings and handmade books feature work with mixed media such as wax, found objects, paint and collage. Lynne’s career has included time as an arts center director, a fine arts consultant to corporate and private collections and work in graphic design.
