Beginner Photography 2 (Afternoon Session) – Virtual Photography Studio

This series emphasizes beginner composition techniques. It is best if students have a working knowledge of their cameras including an understanding of the exposure triangle or use a cell phone. Each class will include new instruction and homework. Images created will be reviewed in class for input and further guidance.

You will be joining students from New England and beyond to create a new online creative community. Thom Williams photography classes come to SVAC in an exciting new way–more than a dozen arts centers are partnering to offer this suite of photography classes. Each class meets four times for an hour and a half, beginning on the date and time listed (except Advanced Photography and Advanced Photo Editing, which meet eight times).

Tap in for the class that works for you! Ages 14 to adult. Cell phones will be fine for any class except Beginner Photography I, for which a camera is required.


Thom Williams is a photographic artist currently living in Troy, NY. He has worked in fashion, editorials, portraits, architecture, athletic events and street photography. Whether a gesture, expression, or angle of architecture, Thom is inspired by capturing images not otherwise seen–of ordinary moments that can have profound reflective meaning for the viewer.
