Welcome back to ceramics! Comfortable with the basics, and ready to dive more deeply either into wheel throwing or handbuilding? In this class, two cohorts will work side-by-side: a wheel group and a handbuilding group. Please register to join one or the other. Please join this class if you have already taken SVAC’s intro class or have sufficient experience from elsewhere to work somewhat independently. (The Thursday Intro class is perfect for brand-new beginners.)

For handbuilders, Zena will provide individualized instruction, offering refreshers and new ideas for coiling, slab building, slump, and hump molding, along with basic surface design and glazing instruction. Zena will support students focusing on the wheel as you work more intensively on centering, opening up, and pulling. There will also be instruction on trimming.

Each participant will receive 25 pounds of clay included in their class fees. The class fee also includes optional drop-in during available studio hours for self-directed practice.

WHEEL IS CURRENTLY WAITLIST ONLY
PLEASE EMAIL ERIN TO SIGN UP FOR THE WHEEL WAITLIST: EKAUFMAN@SVAC.ORG.
THERE IS STILL SPACE IN HANDBUILDING.
THANK YOU!
