Come to the SVAC studio for a warm evening of fun and companionship, to experiment with clay, and to create a beautiful and lasting cup, mug, tumbler or vase. Zena will guide you through handbuilding a slab vessel of your choice. Complete beginners as well as those experienced with ceramics are welcome!

Your piece will go through two firings, and SVAC will glaze it for you. Pick-up will be in the new year, 3-4 weeks after your Clay Date. We will email when your work is ready. This class cost includes materials, instruction and a glass of wine.

About Zena Verda Pesta
Zena is a maker of ceramics, quilts, and supper, a grower of food, nurturer of partnerships and roller dancer. She currently teaches at Red Fox Community School. She has taught ceramics, social studies, pattern making/sewing, outdoor crafts, fire making, cooking, and other hands-on subjects in preschool and all the way to adult learners. Working with artists/designers and educators, Zena has developed curriculum for over 500 workshops. Zena’s ceramic work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
