SVAC partners with Taconic Music for a week filled with musical activities. Camp features daily classical mini-concerts by Taconic Music’s talented Young Artists. These nine college students will teach instrument lessons throughout the week, so all children have an opportunity to try out violin, viola, cello and piano. Additional activities include local guests—yoga with camp director Heather Munch, Musical Paintbrushes with artist and educator Carol Berry and violinist Joana Genova, and Musical Story Time with beloved local teacher Kathy Penge and the Taconic Music Young Artists. Join us for five great musical mornings.

Scholarships available. Please contact Erin Kaufman 802.367.1306 or ekaufman@svac.org.

Heather is a violinist and music educator, born and raised in Southern Vermont. She has been teaching the violin and music for about ten years, both privately and in the classroom. Her passion for teaching music stems from that moment when you discover music has the power to connect us to one another over a shared experience. Heather believes that music and the arts are a vital aspect to overall learning and can help a child discover more about themselves as individuals, members of a community and the world’s diverse cultures. Heather received a B.A. in Music Performance from Castleton University and a M.M. in Violin Performance from SUNY Purchase.
