Jump into the vibrant world of glass fusing with this comprehensive three-day class designed for beginners. Students will gain a solid introduction to fusible glass varieties and learn how to use a range of tools. They will work on skills necessary for cutting and breaking glass and discuss the technical aspects of fusing and slumping (molding). Stacy provides tools to use during the workshop and all materials.
Students will be layering colors and creating eye-catching designs. Everyone will make four or five projects to learn different skills and use different glass types. These may include plates, bowls, coasters, lantern panels, garden stakes, jewelry and glass casting.
Stacy will take the projects to her studio for firing. Finished projects will be available for pick-up in 1-2 weeks.
