Mindful Drawing, Online

Mindful or expressive art is an approach to creating that is contemplative, nurturing and
restorative for many artists. Each session of this online six week course includes a variety of
observational and imaginative drawing exercises using graphite pencil, pen, charcoal and

Supplies:

  • Canson or any other brand drawing or sketching book, hardbound or spiral pad, 9×12 inches
  • 18×24 inch newsprint pad
  • HB and 2B pencils
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Kneadable and plastic erasers
  • Sakura Pigma Micron pens in sizes 05 and 08 or other black ink pens
  • Charcoal sticks, any type
  • Watercolor set and brushes, any brand or type

Corry Buckwalter is a visual artist, educator and landscape designer based in Arlington, MA.
Her artwork explores ecology, land use and botanical subjects. With her students, Corry
nurtures creativity through inclusive and supportive instruction. Her belief that art-making is a
catalyst for personal growth and community-building has grown from her extensive experience
teaching adult learners of all abilities. Corry teaches botanical art, ink painting, mindful drawing
