A place-based art and nature class for homeschoolers
Join us for six weeks this season as we explore animal tracks, birds, the winter sky, snow and the moon.
Each week’s class will include art, science and outside exploration with the goal of fostering a deep sense of awe and understanding of the natural world. Projects will be inspired by viewing nature through an artist’s eye – paying attention to shapes, textures, color and light. Through these activities, we hope to inspire future stewards of the earth, cultivating a lasting connection with nature.
Please dress for mess–old clothes are best–and bring layers and boots to keep warm outside.
A note about winter weather: SVAC follows our school district’s decisions for weather-related closure. Since the SVAC front desk is not staffed on Mondays, please make sure you check email and call Erin or Sara directly with any questions. If we have to cancel a class, we’ll tack one onto the end of the session. Thanks!
