Stanton Sears is a sculptor and professor emeritus of art at Macalester College, St Paul, and is now a frequent instructor at SVAC. Stan holds degrees from Rhode Island School of Design and Penn State. These days, his own work focuses on stand-alone sculptures and architecturally integrated carving in wood, metal and stone. Working at a large scale is also core to his practice; he has led teams creating more than 70 public art projects for sites across the United States. Find out more about this public art or read Macalester College’s 2018 e-book, A MATERIAL EDUCATION: THE ART & SCIENCE OF STANTON SEARS.
