JISP ACTING OR VISUAL ART 2026

Registration is open!
Southern Vermont Arts Center is proud to be a JISP provider again for this winter. Along with other community partners, SVAC is offering educational programming Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the early afternoons.

The 2026 JISP Calendar
Families choose visual art or theater classes that fit with their school’s special winter schedule. (Homeschoolers: please choose theater on Tuesday or Art Workshop on Friday–thank you!) For alignment across snow sports and other programs, all JISP providers begin classes the week of January 6 and skip two weeks in February–the week of Presidents’ Day and the following week, which is the Vermont vacation week this year.

Which Dates Does My Child Have JISP?

Program cost and scholarship funds
For students in the BRSU, tuition is $150. (BRSU schools help cover costs for these students.)
For students from independent schools and homeschools, tuition is $225.
For all students, scholarships are available. Please click the register button as usual and follow the prompts for scholarship options.

All students in grades K – 8 are welcome!
Students in the BRSU will ride school buses to and from SVAC with their teachers. Homeschool, independent school and other districts’ schools’ families transport their own children.

Winter Weather
Please note that SVAC follows the BRSU’s decisions about closing for road conditions. If school is closed, there is no class at SVAC. However, it is possible that occasionally Bromley Mountain will close, and SVAC will remain open. Please call school or SVAC for up-to-date information.
