Girls Ages 912

This camp will empower girls through art and sports and include inspiring, light forms of social-emotional learning. Sports will include soccer, racket sports, hiking, running, tag games and more. Art projects will include acrylic and watercolor painting, collage and drawing. The self-expression elements will combine with art and focus on celebrating individuality and learning emotional intelligence concepts. The camp will take a mentorship approach and share ideas about leadership and uplifting others. Weather-dependent, we will shoot for equal parts indoor and outdoor time for a fun week of creativity and movement. Please note that this camp does not meet on Thursday, July 4.

Instructor Bio:
Els Van Woert is an environmentalist, artist and educator. She has worked on teams to conserve biodiversity, protect wilderness, deploy renewable energy, improve organizational sustainability, inspire through environmental art and empower girls and women through sport. Currently a freelance journalist, Els studied environmental literature, history and studio art at Middlebury College and holds a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
