This week, buildings are made…to be broken. Design and construct cantilevers, towers and bridges, exploring the principles of art and physics involved. Engineering challenges lead to amazing discoveries as we stress our structures to the point of failure. But the first crash is just the beginning. Our goal is to use the smallest amount of material to create the longest span, greatest height, or strongest structure. We will design and build, break things, and build again using what we learned. We will test with weights to see how strong something made with almost nothing can be–an exciting (and pretty noisy) week.
