Douglas has been painting full time for over 20 years, capturing the natural beauty of landscapes, seascapes, city life and still lifes throughout the United States and Europe. Along the way, he’s connected and built relationships with people across the country through the timeless beauty of art. Douglas studied the palette of the late Frank Vincent DuMond (d 1952) under Frank Mason (d 2009) of The Art Students League of New York for over 10 years in his summer class in Vermont and periodically on visits to New York. He also studied with noted east coast painters John P. Osborne and John C. Traynor throughout those years.
