In this workshop, students will learn various drawing methods and techniques for creating portraits. Students will discuss the history of portraiture and will work from both live models and photographs.



Barbara was born in Bergen County New Jersey. She was academically trained at The School of Visual Arts in New York City; The New School of Social Research; Vermont Studio Center; The Charles Cecil Studio in Florence, Italy; and Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, she was an apprentice to Audrey Flack in the 1970s. She continued graduate level work in art education and fine arts and traveled throughout Europe studying the great masters and their works. She has held various art administration positions, including the directorship of education for the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, and as executive director for The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She continues to teach studio art and art history to students of all age levels and abilities.
