SVAC welcomes Lu French for six weeks of yoga in the SVAC Yester House galleries. Each week Lu will guide you through an hour of yoga while exploring the art in the room. You’ll unroll your mat surrounded by masterful works of art and warm diffuse light while a soulful symphony welcomes you to a heightened sensory experience of yoga that invites you to stretch your body, unfurl your mind and blossom your creative soul.

During each class, Lu will weave a contemplative theme drawing the surrounding artwork into the many layers of yogic experience designed to leave you feeling renewed and inspired to embrace the beauty of a new day.

Lu’s compassionate style blends the wisdom of Kripalu Yoga with mindful, creative Vinyasa flow that is gently strengthening, lengthening and easy on the joints.

Please bring a yoga mat and wear stretchy comfortable clothes.

Lu French is an experienced Kripalu Yoga Teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance.  A lifelong practitioner, she has had extensive training in many forms of yoga and has guided countless classes in Prana Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin as well as Kripalu. Lu is also a retired Clinical Pharmacist, Massage Therapist and Level 2 Reiki practitioner. These, along with a lifetime of managing chronic pain, have afforded her an intuitive and academic understanding of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.   Lu’s classes are centered on self-compassion, mindful alignment and are filled with graceful movement, poetry, music, healing energy and love. As an avid art lover, she is thrilled to be offering classes in the galleries of SVAC.
