Yoga in the Trees: Outdoor Aerial Yoga with Alexandra Langstaff
Instructor: Alexandra Langstaff
Date: Saturday, July 31, 2021
Time: 9 – 10 a.m.
Cost: SVAC Member: $18; Non-member: $25

Join Alexandra for a guided journey through a series of yoga postures that help to increase flexibility, strength, balance and focus. Aerial yoga uses hammock-like swings for support, enabling participants to stretch and move in new ways–even inverted. Seeing the world upside down can be restorative, relaxing and refreshing. Spend some time swaying in the cedars! Hanging around in a hammock sounds pretty nice. Add a backdrop of art installations and Mount Equinox….pure bliss!

This experience is for teens and adults. Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. In the case of inclement weather, the yoga class will move indoors. Alexandra will adapt her teaching for yoga on mats, surrounded and inspired by the works of art on the walls.

We have 6 swings. If you have your own, please let us know (email Erin ekaufman@svac.org or call 802-367-1306) and bring it with you. Please wear comfortable, but not too baggy, clothing. If you have a yoga mat, bring that as well. We have some available to borrow. Space is limited, and pre-registration is necessary. Please note that, to mitigate Covid-19 risk, we place swings more than six feet apart and we wash them, and clean yoga mats, after every use.

Alexandra is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) and has been teaching aerial yoga for five years at the Heart of the Village Yoga Studio in Manchester. Her favorite thing is coming up with ways to make people say, “Ahhhhhh!”
